Applegreen has chosen us as charity partner for 2018/19. Applegreen’s staff and customers play a huge part in helping us achieve 2 major goals –increase EB awareness and ensure families have the support they need. We were Charity of the Year in 2013. Due to the success of the partnership, this was extended to 2014. The partnership has continued and means our families have respite accommodation during hospital visits to Dublin; free meeting room space for DEBRA as well as staff fundraising campaigns and various family days.
The staff of Cycle SuperStore recently took on a biking challenge to support us. Starting at midday, a team from Cycle SuperStore were outside the store under the cover of two tents covering 300km over five hours on two turbo trainers.
We are so grateful to Fyffes who continue to support our Wicklow Mountains Challenge every year by providing product FOC for all participants.
We are excited to announce that the wonderful people at Gin Experience Dublin have picked DEBRA Ireland as their charity partner for this brand new event in Dublin Castle April 6th & 7th.
Inspirefest is Silicon Republic’s international event connecting sci-tech professionals with fresh perspectives on leadership, innovation and diversity. We have been chosen as charity partner for the next two years. CEO and co-founder of Silicon Republic Ann O’Dea is also taking part in our Arctic Challenge.
We are delighted to announce that DEBRA Ireland have been chosen as charity partner to Leinster Rugby along with Aware. For the first time ever, the charity partnership will run for two seasons up until the end of the 2017/18 season.
As part of their Nissan Generation Next campaign, Nissan Ireland awarded Emma Fogarty (DEBRA’s Patient Ambassador) a brand new Nissan vehicle for a year. Emma recently passed her driving test (first time around) and is now the first woman with Dystrophic EB in Ireland to do so!
The management and staff of Supervalu Ranelagh chose DEBRA Ireland as their charity partner of the year in 2013 and 2014. The staff hold various in-store fundraisers as well as taking part in events such as the Women’s Mini Marathon.
Past Partners
In 2013 we were chosen as a charity partner by Harvey Nichols. Their merchandising team offered advice and support for our charity shop and staff raised funds through various in-store competitions and promotions.
Hilton Hotel Group, Dublin chose us as their charity partner in 2011 and again in 2012. The management and staff organised events throughout their hotels in Dublin as well as hosting our Gala Event in the Conrad Hotel – “An Evening with Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh”
Along with our colleagues in DEBRA Spain, we were delighted to be chosen as the beneficiary charity for the 2012 Ryanair Cabin Crew Calendar. We received the fantastic sum of €100,000 from sales of the calendar.
