Fundraising Tips

Depending on how much experience you have fundraising, you will probably find you’ll need to do a number of fundraising activities to reach your target. We understand that fundraising is sometimes difficult and will require a good bit of planning but it can also be alot of fun and you will be surprised how much support your family, friends and colleagues will give you.

Sponsorship Forms

Once you register we will send you out a registration pack including our fundraising tips and plenty of sponsorship forms. Bring them along with you when you’re meeting up with friends or family and get them to sponsor you there and then!

Set Up An Online Fundraising Page

Setting up your own online fundraising page makes it easier for friends and family to sponsor you without the need for cash/cheques. Here’s a link to My Charity where you can set one up. Once you’ve registered you can upload pictures and tell friends, family and colleagues about your event so they can see how your fundraising is progressing. Supporters can also leave a personal message for you once they’ve sponsored you. It’s a quick and simple way to start your fundraising. Don’t forget to post your mycharity.ie link to your Facebook page to let all your friends know.

Host Your Own Event

Sometimes all you really need is to run one big event and you’ll find you’ll raise all your sponsorship money at it. You could host a Table Quiz/Dinner night/Cake Sale/Coffee Morning/ Raffle – this is the time to be creative! We can help with posters and information leaflets. Contact your local pub and see will they give you the venue for free? Contact local shops for raffle prizes.

Local Collection

Why not hold a Bag pack in your local supermarket or a Church gate or public collection?

Best of Luck!

Whatever you decide to do we hope you enjoy it and we wish you lots of luck with it! Thank you so much for your support and do let us know how you’re getting on or if you need some extra help. Why not post your fundraising stories to our Facebook page
