Applegreen Charity Partners

We’re already into year two of our partnership with Applegreen – time flies! Staff at every store in Ireland work all year round on their fundraising activities and events. On top of that, every time customers make a purchase, Applegreen donate 1c to the Charitable Fund.

Leinster Rugby
The first year of our 2 season partnership has been a great success.  The media attention that Leinster Rugby command means that our EB families feel that EB is finally being understood which means so much.

Firewalk
Over 50 brave firewalkers walked over hot coals to raise awareness and funds for our families.

Property Race Day
DEBRA Ireland was chosen as one of two charities for this annual fundraiser which saw 400 of the top property professionals in Ireland gather to help children with EB.

Wicklow Mountains Challenge
600 runners took on one of the toughest half marathon /10k mountain runs in March raising over €60,000 (net).

Kerry Challenge
Seventy participants ran / walked 75km over three days in Dingle raising almost €55,000 (net).

EB Awareness Week
In 2016, almost €100,000 raised with 22,000 people wearing butterfly tattoos.  Johnny Sexton appeared on the Late Late Show raising €50,000 in text donations.

Arctic Challenge March 2018
Twenty formidable females venturing to one of the coldest places on earth to take on the ultimate challenge. 

Recognising our Heroes
Emma Fogarty and her mum Pat were awarded for their courage and care at the Hidden Hearing Heroes Awards.

Liz Collins won Dublin Carer of the Year for the care she gives to daughter Claudia.
