StepTember
01 September 2022 - 30 September 2022

Take 300,000 steps for 300 patients living with EB around Ireland & play your part in improving hundreds of lives.

EB. The devastating skin condition you have probably never heard of. Yet there are 300 people living with this condition across Ireland. DEBRA Ireland is the national charity set up in 1988 to offer comfort and support to those battling this condition no matter where they live. Those living with EB have skin as delicate as a butterfly and while their bodies are incredibly fragile, their bravery and strength is that of superheroes.

In September we are asking you to Step to it and sign up for StepTember and raise vital funds so that no patient is left to handle this condition alone. By signing up you will undertake the challenge of 10,000 steps a day – 300,000 over the month of September. If you raise 300 over the 30 days (1 for every 1,000 steps you take) you will ensure that every patient and family gets the support that they need through our medical grants, respite support and our amazing frontline team of Patient Support Workers.

Be a superhero for our superheroes over September, join us on a journey throughout Ireland. Each day you will receive an email giving you access to our interactive virtual map, to see how you are making a difference.

Cost of entry is €30 and as part of this you will get a specially designed StepTember t-shirt to wear with pride! To enter just click here.

This year our amazing Patient Ambassador, Emma Fogarty is taking on her own personal StepTember Challenge – an incredible 10,000 steps a week. This will be a massive test of endurance, but one that she wants to take on and be a part of.

She wants you to join her! And if you do, each week you will receive an email where she will let you into her world and the challenges she faces every day as she takes on her own StepTember Challenge.

Show your support to Emma and all those living with EB throughout Ireland by joining her this September.
