14th March 2018 – 19th March 2018
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to push yourself beyond your limits and be tested like you’ve never been tested before. Our group will consist of a small group of 20 fellow female adventurers but more importantly it will make a huge difference in the lives of the bravest people you might ever meet – our families battling EB.
Get ready to learn new skills and survive the extreme cold of the arctic regions while raising money for children living with the painful genetic skin condition EB (epidermolysis bullosa). It is not for the faint-hearted but the reward you’ll feel at the end of it will be worth it.
The first days are dedicated to learning the skills you need to stay alive in this harsh environment building up to the expedition when we pack our sleds and head off into the wilderness pulling sleeping equipment, food, clothing etc. We’ll either build igloos or camp overnight in sub-zero temperatures in the Lapland wilds.
The expeditions takes place from 14th – 19th March 2018. This gives us 4 full days on the snow.
Accommodation is provided in hostel style rooms. There’s no electricity but there is a fantastic traditional Finnish sauna and log fires to keep us warm. All equipment, outerwear and sleeping bags are provided. This is a team effort, so participants will be asked to pitch in and help.
