Harry Styles
Harry Styles of One Direction was the face of our 2013 EB Awareness Day Campaign (Release your butterfly). He supported the campaign by taking a photo of his own butterfly tattoo and tweeting it to his 21 million Twitter fans. It is still being retweeted almost a year later! Read more about the campaign here.

In 2010 we ran a competition for all our Women’s Mini Marathon participants. The prize was a dinner date with Colin Farrell! Colin took the winners out for dinner and also met our families and patients beforehand.

Well known Irish actor Robert Sheehan became involved with us by supporting our 2013 Women’s Mini Marathon by offering himself up as a dinner date prize! He also kindly attended our family day in the Clayton Hotel (Cardiff Lane) where he met families and patients living with EB. Rob also supported our 2014 Women’s Mini Marathon by offering another dinner date with him and his brother Brendan.
Miriam O’Callaghan
Miriam became involved with DEBRA after meeting some of our patients and families living with EB. One such patient, Robert O’Neill, was invited to go on Saturday Night with Miriam in 2008 to speak about his experience of living with EB. In 2009 she launched our This Is Me video and Butterfly Day with EB patient Claudia Scanlon. She also kindly lent her support to our Race Against Time appeal.

Kenneth Egan
Former Olympian boxer Kenneth Egan joined over 450 people on Sunday 9th March 2014 to take part in the 6th annual DEBRA Ireland Wicklow Mountains Half Marathon/10Km. I initially signed up just as part of my training, however since hearing about EB and its patients, especially Emma Fogarty, I decided to really get behind DEBRA Ireland and give them my full support.
Ray D’Arcy
Ray D’Arcy has been a supporter of DEBRA for over four years. He appeared on RTE’s The Restaurant as a celebrity chef and nominated DEBRA as his chosen charity. Ray also took part in our 2011 Wicklow Half Marathon.
